Whether you regularly attend our meetings and events or you’re just curious to meet some some of the folks running for District 18 and statewide public office on the Democratic ticket, join us for our 2026 Meet the Candidates on Monday, July 20, 2026 at The Boat House, 301 E 3rd Street, in downtown Yankton. Cuban food and water will be provided. Drinks can be purchased from the bar.

Local District 18 candidates will join us to share their vision for South Dakota — at the local, state, and national level. Participating candidates include Karen Springer and Jarod Holcomb, who are running for SD House of Representatives, and Kay Swihard, who is running for SD Senate. In addition, Nikki Gronli, candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives and Julian Beaudion, candidate for the U.S. Senate, as well as Dan Ahlers, candidate for South Dakota Governor.
